Iowa Chapter of the ASA Presents
3rd Annual Conference and Business Meeting
Event Description
The Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, will host the 2026 annual meeting of the Iowa chapter of the ASA on February 27, 2026. A tentative schedule of events includes poster presentations by both undergraduate and graduate Statistics majors from universities in Iowa, a discussion panel on the activities of statisticians at National Laboratories in the United States with remote participation from former graduates now working at those facilities, and a question and answer session run by current graduate students for undergraduates considering going to graduate school in statistics. We will also offer an introductory tutorial on meta-analysis. All faculty, students, and anyone involved with the professional application of statistics are encouraged to attend. Registration and further details will be forthcoming.
